Ground Analysis: "Infiltration Flow Analysis"

We are conducting infiltration flow analysis based on practical phenomena, utilizing the knowledge accumulated through joint research!

In "permeation flow analysis," it is important to accurately reflect the water level behavior within the embankment. To understand the water level conditions within the embankment, we participated in a joint research project involving the Public Works Research Institute (at that time), the National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management (at that time), and eight private companies, titled "Development of Water Level Observation Methods within Embankments for Advanced Embankment Management Technology." From the various water level observation methods used in the joint research, we were able to obtain generally valid water level observation results within the embankment, and the outcomes were compiled into a "Manual (Draft) for Water Level Observation within River Embankments." Our company conducts permeation flow analysis based on the knowledge accumulated from the joint research, tailored to actual phenomena. 【Main Business Achievements】 ■ Review and examination of the Kuji River and Naka River embankments: Kanto Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ■ Survey and design work for construction in the Miyako area: Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ■ Design work for embankments within the Aomori River National Highway jurisdiction: Tohoku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism ■ Examination of permeation countermeasures for the Tedori River embankment: Hokuriku Regional Development Bureau, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

[For Construction Companies] Ground Survey | Optimization of Housing Foundation Costs for Weak Soils

Advanced analytical methods for optimizing foundation costs on weak ground.

Are you struggling with foundation costs for custom homes in areas with soft ground? Accurately understanding the characteristics of the ground and avoiding excessive improvements is crucial for balancing cost reduction and maintaining quality. Our ground investigation technology offers analytical proposals to optimize foundation costs for custom homes on soft ground through stress distribution analysis of building loads and precise settlement simulations. We evaluate load transmission from the foundation base in detail and calculate the correlation between the long-term allowable stress of the ground and the building's ground pressure. Furthermore, we simulate future consolidation settlement and deformation angles to demonstrate structural safety. This helps to suppress unnecessary deep improvements and pile work, enabling the adoption of direct foundations. Our unique evaluation criteria, which cover legal standards, ensure high structural safety while preventing excessive reinforcement. Reliable technical evidence can also be utilized for confirmation applications and explanations to clients, supporting cost reduction and high-quality construction in housing projects. We provide optimal ground consulting for designers and construction companies struggling with excessive improvements. 【Usage Scenarios】 - Construction of custom single-family homes on soft ground - Projects aiming to balance cost reduction and structural safety - Explanations regarding ground conditions to clients

Ground Investigation | Analysis of Subsurface Remnants and Uneven Ground at the Site of a Demolished Wooden Apartment

Visualize the risks of residual materials and uneven ground subsidence lurking in the site of a dismantled structure through multi-point penetration tests, fundamentally preventing differential settlement accidents in wooden apartments.

This technology is a ground investigation method that precisely identifies and evaluates the risk of settlement caused by old foundations, demolition debris, and uneven backfill layers remaining on the site of a demolished wooden apartment building. In post-demolition land, the presence of underground remnants and insufficient compaction can easily lead to significant variations in strength within the site, which can cause differential settlement and distortion of structures after new construction. Our service employs multi-point screw weight penetration tests (SWS tests) to finely measure penetration resistance values at various depths, accurately analyzing the stratigraphic profile while appropriately eliminating the influence of obstacles. Furthermore, we conduct comparisons of resistance values between measurement points and simulate estimated deformation angles to quantitatively calculate the differential settlement behavior that affects buildings. Based on the analysis data, we propose rational ground reinforcement plans that best fit the characteristics of uneven ground, such as surface improvement, columnar improvement, and small-diameter steel pipe pile methods. We aim to prevent troubles unique to demolition sites in advance and ensure the structural safety and high-quality evidence of wooden apartments.

Site Investigation | Optimization of Foundation Costs for Custom Homes to Prevent Excessive Improvement on Weak Ground

An optimization method that prevents excessive improvement through soil quality assessment and soil strength evaluation using the SDS test, significantly reducing foundation costs while maintaining the safety of custom-built homes.

This technical proposal is a ground investigation and analysis solution that prevents excessive ground improvement work in soft ground and optimizes the foundation costs of custom homes. By digitally measuring soil conditions that were difficult to distinguish with conventional simple sounding tests using the SDS test, we objectively identify sandy soils, clayey soils, loam, and humus based on rotational torque and penetration resistance. Furthermore, by combining depth-specific stress propagation analysis of building loads with our unique judgment criteria based on an annual track record of 100,000 cases, we accurately evaluate the inherent bearing capacity of the ground (allowable bearing capacity). This approach avoids uniform deep improvement and excessive pile work, maximizing the potential for direct foundations such as slab foundations and strip foundations. Additionally, clear reports that visualize subsurface cross-sections and settlement predictions facilitate technical explanations to clients and streamline consensus building. Through appropriate design based on evidence-based technical data, we contribute to significant reductions in construction costs and improvements in builders' gross profit margins, while also smoothly addressing the review of ground warranty systems, strongly supporting the creation of safe and secure homes.
